Welcome to Alaska!
In May 1999, my sister and I packed up my 1983 Toyota truck and embarked on a journey that we had promised each other nearly 3 years earlier. We were taking 3 weeks to drive to Alaska and back. The following pages contain the pictures that we took along the way.

For the sake of speed, the pictures are broken up into 3 parts. However, the files are still quite large (anout 1mb per page) So please be patient if you are on a slow connection.

Part 1 - San Marcos, CA to Alaska.
We leave LA traffic, and cruise up Highway 1, thourgh Oregon, Washington and Canada.

Part 2 - Alaska itself
From Tok to Faribanks, then all the way up the Dalton highway to Prudhoe Bay. Then south again, through Anchorage, to Haines.

Part 3 - The return Home
By boat form Haines to Prince Rupert, then by boat again from Prince Rupert to Oregon.
